De Licious is a journey through the Grand Bazaar: an adventure that begins with the joy of Turkish delights and ends among the colorful rugs of the merchants.
At First Sight
For months, he had watched her walk through the market from her stall. He always stopped in front of the shop across the way; buying sweets, lingering there, gazing at her through the glass while taking tiny bites. Occasionally, she touched her neck discreetly, blushing, and seemed to tell him with her eyes how much she desired him.
Surely, it had been love at first sight. After all, he was used to admiration and it wouldn’t be the first time he caused such an effect. That day, he decided to go to work dressed a little more than usual, anticipating a sign, a gesture, a confession from her.
Minutes later, she finally entered his shop. She was visibly anxious; her eyes sparkled with expectation, and she approached with urgency. For the first time, she opened her lips and spoke the words he would always remember:
“Could you wrap the perfume bottle right behind you, please?! I’ll take it!”
At First Sight, a micro-story inspired by the fragrance De Licious and its namesake painting: a tale of sweetness, desire, and unexpected encounters.
